What are cookies?

How we use cookies

  • Strictly necessary – required for core site features (security, shopping cart/order flow, page rendering). These cannot be switched off in our systems.
  • Preferences – remember choices such as language or layout, to provide a smoother experience.
  • Analytics – help us understand site traffic and performance in aggregate (e.g., pages visited, devices used). We currently use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) in a privacy-conscious way (see “Analytics” below).
  • Functional media – only when you interact with embedded content (e.g., a video or map) the third party may set its own cookies.

Cookies we set

  • _ffs_session (session) – strictly necessary; maintains session and security.
  • cookie_pref (6–12 months) – stores your cookie preference settings, if you set them.
  • _ga, _ga_* (up to 24 months) – Google Analytics 4 identifiers used for aggregated statistics (see below). IP anonymization enabled.

Note: Names/expirations may vary slightly as our platform updates. Some cookies are only set after you interact with specific features.

Analytics (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure site usage in aggregate so we can improve performance and content. We configure GA4 with IP anonymization and do not use GA for personalized advertising on our site. Google may process anonymized data on our behalf as a processor. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
